SPETSES. Luxuriant vegetation framed by broad expanses of shimmering blue
water and cloudless skies sustain the tranquil beauty of Spetses. Famous for its
cobblestone streets, Spetses is of another time, a time when life was simpler and
unhrried. Horse drawn carriages are the mode of transport, preserving the island's lovely,
quiet mood. Yacht provisioning facilities. |

POROS.
In Poros, it's late nights and early morning dips into sea blue bays in a cosmopolitan
atmosphere. The sound of music can be heard into the early hours.
Poros is lush and green and made up at two islets: Kalavria and Steria. Kalavria is
covered with pines and olive trees, hills, coves, rocky shores and sandy beaches. Offering
a contrast, Steria is a volcanic piece of land said to have emerged after an erruption of
the centuries old volcano on Methana (on the mainland peninsula to the northwest). The
town of Poros is built in tiers on this barren half. High on the top of Poro's only
mountain can be seen to this day the remains of the Temple of Poseidan, the god of the sea
to whom the island was dedicated centuries ago. Yacht provisioning facilities. |

EGINA. Named after
a young and beautiful nymph abducted by Zeus, who later gave birth to a son, Aceus, one of
the Judges of the Dead in Haddes, and an ancestor of Achilles and Ajax, heroes the Trojan
Wars. Mountainous in the center, Egina is green with vegetarian, vine-yards and pine clad
woods. There are three islets lying off Egina- all romantic, isolated and verdant- makeing
delightful excursions. They include Moni, Agistri, and Kira. Yacht provisioning
facilities.

Enroled to Egina from Athens you may want to detour to the coast of the
Peloponnissos and the site of the annual Festival of Greek Drama, a festival of
